Father’s Day Founding Father’s (and Females) Photo Fest

 image

Okay, we’re just going to come right out and say it: Father’s Day is American-Made. W-I-N-N-I-N-G.

That’s right. In 1909, Sonora Smart of Spokane, Washington was so thankful for her dad that she pushed for an annual celebration of dads everywhere, dubbing it “Father’s Day”. Brilliant. Sonora started circulating petitions about it, and within a year, Spokane held the universe’s first Father’s Day on the 3rd Sunday of June.  And, in 1966, President Lyndon Johnson made it national holiday. So, in honor of American-Made Father’s Day, we’re throwing our first ever Founding Father’s Photo Fest to celebrate the men who made America.

Explanation: So, we have this weird tradition here at Made where, every Friday, someone puts on a show about an American Founding Father or Female. Read on to find out how it works.
